Salma Hayek recently shared an unexpected story about Donald Trump’s romantic overture during an appearance on The Daily Show. 

The actress recounted that Trump once attempted to ask her out, despite knowing she was in a relationship at the time. 

The encounter began when Trump placed his coat over her shoulders at an event, noticing she was cold. He then befriended her boyfriend, requesting both their phone numbers. 

However, Trump later called Hayek directly, inviting her on a date and dismissing her boyfriend as "not good enough" for her .

After Hayek declined, she claimed that Trump planted a tabloid story suggesting he wouldn't date her because she was "too short." He later contacted her feigning concern over the article, seemingly hoping she would agree to date him to refute the rumor .

Hayek's revelation offers insight into Trump's alleged persistence and tactics in pursuing women, even those in committed relationships.
